You are so, so loved.
Encouraging Reminders for Infertility/IVF
Our baby boy was born through IVF and there were so many times I felt like using “artificial” reproductive methods meant I failed as a human. But that is so completely untrue. If you’re struggling with infertility, let these truths encourage your heart today.
- Infertility is not your fault.
- Infertility does not make you less valuable.
- You are more than the status of your fertility.
- Using assisted reproduction (of any kind) does not mean you failed.
- Infertility does not define you.

Reminders for Loving Your Body
Our bodies were uniquely designed exactly as God intended them, but when we’re facing infertility, it often feels like our bodies are broken. I remember feeling like my body couldn’t do the one basic thing that so many others seemed to be able to do so easily. But your body isn’t a problem to be solved. Your body isn’t bad or broken because of this struggle. And right now, taking care of it is one of the most important things you can do.
Remember that…
- Your body is not your enemy.
- Your body is capable of good things.
- You are capable of caring for your body.
- You are capable of listening to your body.
- You can be proud of your body, even if it isn’t doing what you want.
- You can show yourself, your body, and others grace.

Affirmations for Loving Yourself
We’ve all struggled with self-doubt. We all tell ourselves (and believe) lies about not being good or smart or whatever enough. These affirmations for infertility remind us that we are so much more than the struggle we are facing right now.
- You are patient, whether you think so or not. Just think of all the waiting you’ve done!
- You are worthy of being loved.
- You are valuable.
- You can love yourself no matter what.
- You are capable of doing hard things.
- You can choose to look for joy.
- You will persevere through this.
- You are capable of loving well.
- You are doing your best.
Infertility sucks. And if you’re in that boat right now, I am so sorry, friend. I pray that you would experience waves of peace as you navigate what is next in your journey, and I hope these encouraging truths made you breathe a little deeper today. You are not alone in this.
All my love,
Susannah
